Remember the Fallen Virtual Run

I'm doing all of my runs/races this year in honor of CPL Michael Sonka and his MPC Flex who were KIA on May 4, 2013. I wanted to do something special on the 4th to honor them and I came across this virtual run called Remember the Fallen. It was for a 5k, 10k, or half marathon, but Chris and I did 4 miles.
We wore our War Dogs shirts and had their names put on the bibs.
Chris wanted his bib on his back...
I wore mine on the front...
We ran the trail that loops Corry Station where Chris works. We met up at the start of his lunch break, 1030. It was a little hot, but still a nice, sunny run.

I found two flags flying along the route for Glenn, CPL Sonka's step-dad, who is the entire reason we've set out on this adventure.

We didn't wear any timing devices, as we figured we would take our time to reflect on all they sacrificed for us. It was a very touching run.
This is the beautiful medal they provided for the run.
