Small setback

Okay, so I haven't done my Slimdown videos in a couple of days. I've got a sinus infection...can't even pick Denver up without feeling like my head is going to explode. It's starting to get a little better, so maybe tomorrow night I can do a workout again. There are 2 "off" days a week on the program, so I haven't really gotten off track just yet. I ran up and down with Katelynn on the slip and slide today - that counts as exercise right?? How about knocking her out of the way so I can go next?!?
Good news though - I lost 3 pounds this week! That was before I got real sick too...might have an even better loss next week - LOL!

Day 3, Slimdown

Day 3 of the 10 pound Slimdown! I did the upper body workout today with bands (I don't have free weights). It was definitely easier then the lower body. I'm not sure about the bands though - I might have to breakdown and purchase a set of hand weights.
I'm not sure how I'm going to get the 20 minute core workout in either. It has it along with upper body one day and lower body the next time, but I don't really have 40 minutes, but we do get 2 days of rest and a day of yoga, so I will probably do it on one of the day's of rest. As it gets closer to the end of the 30 days it also has lower and upper body on the same day. I'm not sure I can do that because of time. I might have to try and do one in the morning...hmmmm, we'll see about that one.
I got all my fruit in again today, but not the veggies - why are they so tough to squeeze in?! One of these nights I'll need to work out a game plan so I have it planned out instead of just "trying to get them in." I'm sure that would help me immensely.

Day 2, Slimdown

So the Lower Body workout is NO JOKE! OMG! Owwwww!!! My quads are burning. I didn't do the 20 minutes core today - I will try and squeeze it in tomorrow. I'm going to have to be flexible with the "plan" because of the kiddos and getting online to chat with Chris. I at least got the lower body in tonight.
I realized mid-day that I wasn't doing so well with the veggies today. I did get all my fruit in though, so for dinner I did a chicken stir-fry with extra veggies. Very yummy! Looks like I'm going to have to get creative to get all my veggies in a day.

10 Pound Slimdown

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Comcast?? I found a program today on exercise tv to lose 10 in 30 days. This is perfect!!! It fits right in with Barb's plan to lose 10 by the 4th of July, so I'm jumping right in. I tried the total body blast tonight and I liked it. I will consider today Day 1, and just switch up Day 1 and Day 3 workouts.

Day 1: Total Body Blast for 20 minutes - CHECK!

The program is by Chris Freytag, "Eat better to preform better" is her saying. Her plan sounds like it falls into line with Tosca Reno's eat clean program (I read about her in the Oxygen magazines). It sounds like it's all about cutting out the junk.

Tomorrow on Day 2 I'm going to do the Upper Body workout and try to get in 5 servings of fruit and vegetables.

Comcast

I LOVE COMCAST! Oh I hope I still feel this way in a few months, bur right now I couldn't be happier with our decision to drop Verizon Wireless. My internet connection is just flying - I even have 3 windows open right now. Incredible!
Another reason I'm loving Comcast? On Demand and Exercise TV!!! I did the following set today:
10 min Sexy Legs with Jessica Smith
20 min Kickbox with Pillipe Till (this guy looked like Owen Wilson)
Rock Solid Abs with Kendell Hogan (I only did 4 minutes because of my weak ab muscles...it wasn't hard though)
I'm just loving it right now! I did the first 10 minutes segment this morning while Denver napped (Katelynn did the moves with me LOL) and then the last 2 tonight after the kids went to bed. It worked out really well.
I stepped on the scale last night 198.6. It hasn't budged in 3 weeks. Now that I have internet back I'm going to start tracking again. Right now I'm not sure how to approach it - write it down and record at the end of the day or as I go. It will probably be best to write it down and then enter it at the end of the day. I'll figure it out soon enough.
Barb had an idea about just us girls meeting either once or twice a month as a "meeting" type thing for accountability purposes - I think it's a good idea. Hopefully we'll do it!
