Flaxseed and Oatmeal

I bought a box of milled flax seed. I heard it was good for you and some of the recipes I saw had it in it; however I wasn't really sure about using it so it just sat in my cupboard for awhile. Then I got my "Eat Clean Diet" book and Tosca says she uses 1 Tbsp of it at breakfast every day (along with bee pollen and wheat germ - two other things I'm not so sure about). For the past few mornings I've mixed it with my oatmeal and it's awesome! This morning I woke up with a ton of energy. I don't know why. I have an idea why, but I don't know if it's related. I've been eating really well lately and I started using flax seed.
My friend Steph that I workout with eats clean too. She gave me a sample of the bee pollen. I sprinkled 1/2 Tbsp in my oatmeal this morning too. It did effect the taste, but it wasn't horrible. It dissolved as soon as I stirred it up. I'm going to have to go and buy some bee pollen too.
Anyway, I figured I'd share. I'm enjoying my new find.

My morning oatmeal: Peach
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup oats (I use Quaker)
cook in microwave or stovetop
while it's cooking I'll mix 1 Tbsp greek yogurt with 1/2 Tbsp honey and 1/4 tsp almond extract in my bowl. Then dump the oatmeal on top along with 1 Tbsp flax seed. Stir it all together and cover with cut-up peaches. Oh so yummy! My new favorite breakfast - seriously, I've had it 4 mornings in a row now.
