Weekly Beach Run

I did my longest beach run with Nicole, one of my relay partners, this morning. We completed 4.4 miles in 47 minutes. It was pretty awesome!! We ran on NAS Pensacola; it was my first time running in the sand on base. It's not a very long stretch, we probably could have gotten 5 miles max if we would've added on a few smaller strips. We ran through a water crossing that was fun, but a little cold. A good bit of the beach had a steep slope. If you avoided the slope you sank in the softer sand. Made for an interesting run. Miles 1 and 4 were our best since the sand in those miles was a little more packed.

After my run I put my feet up and sipped on a coffee while watching the waves. It was an extremely relaxing morning. My beach runs are seriously turning into the best part of my week.
