Color Run

This morning Tabitha and I drove to the National Harbor in DC and met my friend Patti to run the Color Run. It was a blast!!!

They let people go every 10 minutes or so. While we waited a DJ talked and threw swag at us - socks, sunglasses, bags, t-shirts. The course was nice - a big hill at the start and then just downhill after that. Every kilometer or so they had a blasting station. Those were so much fun! Patti brought her camera with her so here are some action shots of me...

 I turned around because the guy next to me threw himself on the ground and started rolling in it - too funny!

All done and showing off our color! It was Patti's first 5K and she did AWESOME!!!

 

 

The say it's the Happiest 5K on the Planet

It was definitely fun! It was not however a 5K. I did wear my Garmin...just wanted to see how long it took us to run it. We actually ended up walking most of it - mostly because so many people were. It really was a laid back race. Turns out the course was only 2.8 miles. Aw well, it was still a lot of fun!!!
