October. My favorite month! I love this time of year - cooler weather which makes outdoor running enjoyable again; pumpkin is every where (yum, yum, yum); the leaves are changing making everything outdoors colorful; festivals and races are all around! What I don't like about this time of year is that it's colder so I want to drink coffee all the time; pumpkin is every where - pumpkin donuts, sugar loaded pumpkin coffees, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin whoopie pies; the leaves are changing and starting to fall which means the Holidays and winter are right around the corner; races are every where - I've got 3 of them this month!!!
My goals for the month are centered around being able to successfully make it through the next 3 months without packing on Holiday weight.
1. To bust into the 150's.
I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 160.4!! I'm so close to the 150's I can taste it!!!! So, I guess my goal for the month of October is to lose 1 pound and to keep it off! HA!
2. Run 3 to 4 times a week.
Now that I'm done doing the 90 day programs I want to focus on running more. I'd like to run 4 to 5 times a month, but I'll start with 3 to 4 and see how it goes.
3. Lift 3 times a week.
I want to get to the gym and lift 3 times a week. I would love to finish the 12 week program I started today, so I'll take it one week at a time.
That's it. Three small little goals to get me through this month. Time to open the calendar and mark the days I'll be running and the days I'll be lifting so that I have a schedule.
